Meet Chris Cesa

Retired Navy Lieutenant Commander, RN, MBA | Navy Flight Nurse / Founder, The CESA Group

Chris Cesa is a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander, Registered Nurse, and MBA-prepared healthcare executive with a career spanning global patient evacuation, joint military operations, and enterprise-level quality leadership. During his Navy service, he supported patient movement and aeromedical evacuation for U.S. Transportation Command and U.S. Central Command, coordinating care for service members across some of the most complex operational environments in the world.

Today, Chris serves as Director of the Office of Quality Management at the VA St. Louis Health Care System, where he leads patient safety, risk management, high reliability and just culture initiatives, performance measures, accreditation readiness, and systems redesign for one of the VA's largest medical centers with two campuses. A third-generation Navy veteran and first in his family to graduate college and earn a commission, Chris founded The CESA Group to bring the same rigor, structure, and mission-driven leadership he built in federal healthcare to hospitals and health systems nationwide.
